I started Roll for Prep because I’ve been in the same spot as countless GMs, staring at a blank page the night (or, all too often, the hours) before a session feeling that I don’t have the time to prepare the way that I want.

Whether we run Pathfinder 2e, D&D, or another tabletop RPG, our players deserve memorable adventures without us burning out in the process. My mission is simple:

• Provide GMs practical resources they can drop into any campaign.

• Share real, experience driven, prep techniques that actually save time.

• Build a community where GMs feel supported, inspired, and ready to roll with their players.

I’ve been running games for over a decade, crafting custom encounters, homebrewing worlds, and roleplaying NPCs that my players still talk about years later. With Roll for Prep, you’ll get the tools, tips, ideas, strategies, and content you need to wow your table without drowning in prep work. You will also get a list of resources, content creators, and writers that I have gleaned valuable information from over the years.

The bulk of my experience is in Dungeons and Dragons 5e, but in recent years I have switched to GMing Pathfinder 2e in my home games. Both systems have their pros and cons and neither is “better” than the other. Some things will, by their nature, have to be tailored for a specific TTRPG. When this is the case I will endeavor to offer an option for both D&D5e and PF2e, but this may not always be possible. I also realize there are many other TTRPGs beyond these two. Because of this, I will strive to keep as much of my advice and resources as content agnostic as possible.
